Enigma & Legion reach charity final

ENIGMA won 8-2 out at the Pittendrum with the help of Dave Bisset's 8-ball clearances to reach the final of the Charity Shield and will be joined by the Legion, who won 8-4 at Cheers.
Tonight (Thursday, 11th March) Fraserburgh & District Pool League fixtures are as follows: Enigma v Cheers, Elizabethan v Tufted Duck, Bellslea v Drum, Pittendrum v Bancar and the Legion have a free week.
The 50/50 results for March are Tufted Duck
£20; Elizabethan £15; Legion £10.
Sunday, 7th March, the semis and Final of the Scotch Doubles took place in the Bancar, results of semi's were Simon Donald and Sandy Anderson (Enigma] beat Alex Killoh and Marc McBride (Legion] 4-0, Allan & Jim Anderson (Enigma] beat Thomas Bannon and Neil Smith (Enigma] 4-3.
In the Final Simon and Sandy beat Allan and Jim 5-2.

Calum halts Joe to stay top!

IN the Top Break Pool Singles League Calum Bruce needed to beat Joe Sayers to stay top of the league and he did by 5-3.
Joe had already beaten former leader Paul Johnston 5-3 to temporarily top the table, Johann Sondergaard moves into third after a 4-4 draw with Jim Anderson, Allan Anderson's 7-1 defeat of Ron Senior moves him up to fourth, Reigning league champion got back to winning ways with a 5-3 defeat of John Keller, Jason Yeats beat Janis Rinks 6-2, James Davidson defeated Kevin Tocher 5-3, Alex Davidson beat Joe Senior 7-1, John Sutherland won 5-3 against Steven North, Sam Aiken beat Patrick Jackson 8-0, Peter Lyon defeated Steven Wilson 5-3, Ally McCulloch beat Martin Burnett 6-2 and Chris King defeated Alex Porter 7-1.
Jim Anderson won the 9 ball knockout beating Steven North in the final.

Still close at top of Premier

WITH the Masons Arms having a free week, it was a chance for the Bay or Kenyan to close the gap at the top of the Premier Pool League when the two teams met in Rosehearty, in the end a point a piece was taken in a 7-7 draw.
This leaves the Bay one point behind the Masons althougth they have played a game more and the Kenyan three points adrift having played the same games as the leaders.
In the other fixtures, Whyte's had a rare victory beating Findlays 8-6, Bala handed the Forbes a 10-4 defeat and the Cassa dropped a surprise home point drawing 7-7 with the Royal.
With only four league games left it is a battle between the top three to claim the title.
