Report due for councillors

A progress report on the implementation of the Curriculum for Excellence will come before councillors today.

Councillors will be updated following the December education, learning and leisure committee where a number of actions were agreed.

All parents have now been sent a letter outlining some key facts about the new curriculum in secondary schools, with further discussions taking place where requested.

In addition, each school has been directed to provide an information booklet for parents while a ‘peer group pairing scheme’ has been co-ordinated by the Aberdeenshire Secondary Head Teachers’ Association.
