New bus shelter for Broch passengers

Fraserburgh and district councillor Ian Tait is delighted that Aberdeenshire Council has drivem forward with plans to construct a bus shelter on the town’s West Road.

As the winter weather begins to draw in, the result will likely be met with positive mood by regular users of the local route.

Speaking before construction began on the shelter, Councillor Tait told the Herald: “I was approached about getting a bus shelter at the West side of West Road at its junction with Gallowhill Road, and raised it with council offficials.

“The officials are required to go through a consultation and that has now finished.

“I am delighted to say that the shelter has been scheduled to be put up for week commencing October 29.

“I know this will be much appreciated by the residents who will now get shelter in all weathers and, particularly, those elderly residents who came to me about it.”
