The Reverend Martin Grashoff who is the current Chaplain to the UK Oil and Gas industry visited the Fraserburgh RNLI station recently on Thursday 26th January and met crew members and the coxswain of the Fraserburgh Lifeboat.

He was invited aboard the Willie and May Gall and accompanied the crew on a short practice run which he enjoyed very much.

Martin was ordained as a minister in the Netherlands in 1995 and studied divinity at the Theological University of the Reformed Churches in Kampen and at the University of Amsterdam. He moved to Scotland in 2004 working at the Iona Community before serving as a minister in parishes in Glasgow and Kilcalmonell.

The Fraserburgh RNLI station has forged strong links with the Chaplaincy over the last few years.
