A Fraserburgh born woman has been short-listed for a prestigious national retailing award.

Aberdeen children’s shoe shop ‘Shooligans’, in the city’s west end is owned and run by original owner Sandra Duthie. Sandra opened Shooligans in 1999 and in its 13 year history has won several major business awards.

The Footwear Industry Awards honours those companies who they consider to be ‘the most innovative and inspirational’ footwear businesses.

Shooligans, in the category of Best Independent Children’s Shoe Retailer, has been short-listed to one of just six stores in the UK, four of which are inthe London area. The Footwear Awards take place on Sunday February 19.
