Broch brewery faces criticism over newest beer

A Fraserburgh brewery which has won awards for its beer has come under fire from alcohol abuse campaigners.

The brewery, BrewDog, which produces high-end beers for connoisseurs has been accused of producing their latest beer, described as Britain's strongest beer.

A 330ml bottle of beer contains around 1.5 units, but the brewery's new product contains about four units.

A spokesman for Alcohol Focus Scotland said the beer could be abused by teenagers and people with alcohol problems.

The brewery has rejected the accusation.
