THE UK has an incredible recent history in providing care in society, and, without getting political, that fundamental care is available to all, and not based on class, wealth or the ability to pay.

This was brought home to me personally last wee
k. Whilst in central London, I was not able to gain entry to Westminster Abbey due to Prince Charles being in there – for the 60th Anniversary Service of the National Health Service (NHS).
There is an accepted principle in our Nation that when someone is in distress or needs medical attention, it is should always be available.
We live in a world where there are many needy people, facing all sorts of life-related issues. It may be a problem with physical health, emotional trauma, family and relationship breakdown, financial situations, drug-related issues…the list goes on. And when anyone faces any of these, and other problems, everyone needs somewhere to turn, or someone to turn to.
At the heart of God's personality lies love, care and compassion. If you need someone to turn to, you can turn to God. If you need somewhere to turn, you can turn to the Bible, to see what God says to help you through. Someone once said, "Christianity is just a crutch, for those not able to get through life on their own." I would agree! God never made any of us to have to make it through life by our own strength and resources.
He made us to have a wonderful relationship with Him – to be able to know His mighty strength, love, power, care and compassion rather than have to go it alone!
Whatever you are going through – God cares! God wants you to know that you can turn to him, whether life is tough, or whether life's a breeze! He created mankind, and wants a relationship and friendship with the people He created – you and me!
On a personal note, if you have lost hope at ever overcoming life's problems – illness, sickness, health issues, despair, emotional fear and worry, family breakdown, relationship problems, financial dilemmas etc – I would invite you to turn to God. At Fraserburgh Community Church, we have seen scores of people find miracles happening in their lives over the past two months. Why don't you give God a try and come to FCC this Sunday night at 6pm to hear Brent Borthwick, a preacher from Lakeland, Florida, who brings a message of hope, and has seen thousands of people find God's miracles and healing from all kinds of sicknesses and physical conditions. What have you got to lose?!
