Man found dead in park

A MAN found hanged in James Ramsey Park on Monday has been named by Police as George Russell from Fraserburgh.
The grim discovery of his body was made at around 6.30pm on Monday night.
The Herald understands that the body was found by four children all thought to be around 12 years of age.
The area was cordoned off by police as they checked the area and removed the body.
Grampian Police confirmed to the Herald:
"The body of a 58 year old man, George Russell from Fraserburgh, was found in woods near a playpark in Strichen Road, Fraserburgh, on 18 August 2008, around 6.30pm by a member of the public.
"Ambulance and Grampian Police attended the scene.
"The death is not believed to be suspicious.
"Enquiries are ongoing.
"As is normal in such circumstances a post mortem will be carried out and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal."
