Polce car involved in collision

A 59-YEAR-OLD was taken to hospital after his vehicle collided with a police car in the town. The man was was believed to have minor injuries in the collision at the Albert Street-Mid Street junction at around 12.20pm on Tuesday.


The man was alone in his car. An Ambulance attended and took the injured male to hospital. It is also believed a fire crew initially attended the scene.

It is the second time this year a marked police car has been involved in a collision in the town. A Police Spokesperson confirmed that an Investigation into the circumstances was ongoing.
