Police release names of dead fishermen

POLICE have named the three men who died on the fire aboard Vision II at Fraserburgh Harbour.
Grampian Police can confirm the deceased as: Rimants Venckus, aged 50 from Latvia; Ramilito Capangpangan Calipayan, aged 33 from Republic of the Philippines; Benjamin Rosello Potot, also aged 33 from the Republic of the Philippines.

Detective Insepector Martin Dunn, who is leading the investigation, said: "Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of the three men who tragically lost their lives at this very diffcult time. We are also appealing for anyone who may have seen Mr Venckus, Mr Calipayan or Mr Potot in the hours prior to the fire to contact Grampian Police, either at Fraserburgh police station or by calling 0845 600-5-700."
