Goals from four different scorers gave Fraserburgh the win which puts them second in the SHFL table.

The only real action in the first 20 minutes came when Jamie Ralph's chipped ball found Allan Hale, and his effort flashed across goal but bounced wide. However, just three minutes later the Broch were in front.

A well-flighted free-kick from Graham Johnston seemed to miss everyone on it's destination to the back post, but Bryan Hay managed to finish from six yards with the diving header.

Brora seemed to be playing more cautiously at the back, they didn't want to risk losing a 2nd goal, but that so nearly happened less than two minutes after Hay's goal. Johnston's cutback was met by the back-heel from William West, but he couldn't get a strong enough touch to divert the ball home.



Fraserburgh were coming closer and closer to a second goal with every passing opportunity, a Neil Main free-kick was won by Scott Begg in an aerial tussle with McBride, the ball fell to Johnston just outside the area, and his snap-shot skimmed the roof of the net on it's way over.

And just before the end of the first period, West really should have made it 2-0. Jamie Beagrie chipped a clever ball onto Hale who managed to present it to West, but from 6 yards out he defectively headed over with Daniel Bell stranded.

Fraserburgh had more or less controlled the first half, but had been unable to turn the possession into goals, as the Cattachs, who hadn't really been in the game, were still in with a good chance of taking the points at the break.

The 2nd goal of the game was leading a charmed life, but eventually it came, however in slightly debatable circumstances. Martyn Kerrigan bizarrely awarded Fraserburgh a free-kick just outside the penalty area, but Graham Johnston expertly curled the ball round the wall and into the bottom corner to give his side more breathing space.

The away side were finding it difficult for any chances to come their way, but when they did they were rather wasteful of them. Andrew Neill played a nice ball to Liam Baxter who had been introduced to the fray only moments before, he found himself free with barrowloads of space, however his first effort was well-stopped by Paul Leask, and squandered the 2nd effort, side-footing wide.



Allan Hale had looked as lively as ever in this game, and certainly was eager to continue his goalscoring form, he came close with 15 minutes of the match remaining, heading onto the roof of the net via Johnston's cross, but there was still time for a goal yet.

And within minutes he got that craved goal. West's attractive chipped ball was picked up by Beagrie, he took a touch inside and tried the effort to Bell's blindside. The ball ricocheted off Bell after hitting the foot of the post, but Allan Hale finished up from just a couple of yards out, to make the points secure.

Fraserburgh continued to camp themselves in the visitors half, and wrapped up the scoring five minutes from time. A perfectionist's cross from Marc Dickson was met by Jonathan Garden who rose highest to score his 5th goal in under a month for the Black and whites.

Gavin Wemyss came close in the dying minutes, but it was enough for Fraserburgh to give them another win and keeping up their red-hot form, lifting them above Cove Rangers in the title race, whilst Brora remain 15th.
