THE Bellslea's 9-5 defeat of Enigma in the Fraserburgh & District Pool League makes them clear favourites to lift the league title going five points clear at the top of the table although Enigma have a game in hand.
It is unlikely the Bellslea will drop that many points, Enigma's Allan Anderson with the only 8 ball clearance of the match.
The Tufted Duck bounced back from their poor result at Enigma to defeat the Legion 8-6 to move to within a point of them, t
he Pittendrum are in fifth place in the league after a very good 9-5 win at the Elizabethan, the Bancar beat Cheers 10-4 with the aid of an 8 ball clearance from Ryan Allan. League fixtures for tonight Thursday the 18th of February are as follows: Enigma v Pittendrum, Legion v Bellslea, Drum v Bancar, Cheers v Tufted duck and the Elizabethan have a free week.

First Royal win

THE Royal chalked up their first league win of the season with a surprise thrashing of the Balaclava winning 10-4.
The top three all had big wins with leaders Masons Arms beating Findlays 11-3.
Second place Kenyan handing Whyte's a 13-1 hammering and the Bay beating local rivals the Forbes 12-2.
Fixtures 18-02-10:- Balaclava v Bay Hotel; Cassa v Kenyan; Findlays v Royal; Whytes v Masons Arms; Forbes have a free week.

Trio lead the way

IN the Top Break pool singles league, Paul Johnston defeated Darren Chester 6-2 to stay top of the league, the experienced Ron Senior alongside him on six points after he beat Alex Davidson 6-2. Alex Simpson was the only other player to start the league with two victories with his 5-3 defeat of Sandy Anderson, while Calum Bruce goes onto four points beating Johann Sondergaard 6-2, as does Jim Anderson with his 5-3 defeat of Mark Tocher.
Current league champion Thomas Bannon beat Graham Fergusson 6-2 for his first win of the season, Allan Anderson also got his first win beating John Sutherland 6-2. Janis Rinks beat Luis Silva 5-3, while Joe Senior beat Steven Wilson 5-3. John Keller defeated Terri Davidson 6-2, Graham Cairns beat John Anderson 5-3, James Davidson beat Willie Barbour 5-3 and Jason Yeats won 6-2 against Alex Porter. Michael Gray defeated Craig Palmer 8-0. Allan Anderson won the nine-ball knockout beating Willie Barbour in the final.
