Charity car wash announced

The Fraserburgh Gala Committee were sure to buoyed last night when it was revealed that the charity car was, done by the Scouts, was confirmed.

On Saturday,
August 4, the Fraserburgh Scouts will be holding a charity car wash at Banff and Buchan College, Henderson Road.

All monies raised will be going to the scouts or to the Fraserburgh Gala Committee.

Scout Leader Jim Kirkwood said: “It’s great to see a Gala in Fraserburgh again and we are delighted to support this worthwhile event. We hope that lots of people will take the opportunity to have their car cleaned and keep us busy on Saturday!”

Buckets, sponges and shampoo have all been generously donated by Motorparts, Fraserburgh.

The Scouts will be washing cars between 10am and 3:30pm.

The Fraserburgh Gala Committee have recently began distributing posters highlighting events at the returning gala both online and around Fraserburgh, one of which is available to view in the window the Fraserburgh Herald office, 60 High Street.

There will not, however, be an ‘It’s a Knockout’ event taking place this year, despite its appearance on the gala poster.

Programmes detailing all of the events at the gala are expected to be made available in the near future.
