The 6th Fraserburgh Girl Guides made a special visit to Paris recently.

The trip was undertaken to allow Guider Dawn-Marie Duncan to gain her International Licence.

The Guides spent a year fund-raising for the trip by holding bingo nights, quiz nights, coffee mornings and bag packing events. Funding was also granted locally by the Mary Salmond Fund, the Banff and Buchan Area Initiatives Fund and the Community Developement Group.

During their trip to France, the Guides spent their time enjoying all the landmarks of Paris before having a day out at the Euro Disney’s Theme Park.

The Guides would like to thank Newline, Leiper & Summers, Westward Fishing Co., Fraserburgh Seafoods Ltd, Caley Fisheries, The Rotary Club and The Masonic Lodge, Rosehearty, for their generous donations. Guiding enables girls and young women to fulfil their potential and to take an active and responsible role in society through a distinctive programme of activities delivered by trained volunteer leaders.
