The President of Fraserburgh Rotary Club for the year ahead has been announced.

John Buchan - who is a retired dentist - has been in Rotary for 40 years and has become president for the next 12 months. John follows a family tradition as his father, Charles Buchan, was a founder member of the Club.

The Rotary is the world’s biggest charitable organisation and its members are involved in many projects both locally and internationally.

The Rotary is also an extremely cost effective charity, where members contribute their time and expertise with 100% of fundraising going directly to help others.

In return, members can enjoy social interaction with like-minded individuals at the various events organised by the Club throughout the year.
