Interesting talks at Broch Probus and Crimond WRI

Fraserburgh and District Men’s Probus Club

The Probus Club met on Wednesday, September 24, in the South Church Hall, Fraserburgh.

The speaker was Barbara Buchan who spoke on the history of local railways. She also brought along some photographs which were of great interest to the members.

The vote of thanks was given by Bill Matthew.

The Club visit to RAF Lossiemouth on Wednesday, October 8, has been cancelled due to all air bases being closed to the public at this time, due to the conflict abroad.

The meeting will now take place at the South Church Hall, Fraserburgh, at the usual time of 10am on Wednesday, October 8.

Crimond WRI Report

Mrs Reid welcomed members back after the summer break.

After business was dealt with, Mrs Reid welcomed Laura Greig from Maud who gave a humorous talk on what Scotland had gave the world, having everybody in stitches.

Laura judged the competitions, with results as follows:
