Ladies Probus Club hold quiz

Fraserburgh Ladies Probus Club met in the South Church Hall for their final meeting of the session.

Mrs Connie Duncan was re-elected president, Mrs Kathleen Cheyne as secretary, and Mrs Lorna Wallace as treasurer.

Mr James Cameron, retired headmaster, was the guest for the evening. Mrs Cameron was unable to be with him, unfortunately, due to ill-health, and the Probus Club wish her a speedy recovery to good health.

Mr Cameron had prepared a general knowledge quiz for the evening, the ladies organising into groups of four or five for questions such as nation’s capitals.

Mr Cameron also provided a most beautiful tray of sweets for everyone to enjoy, his generosity throughout the evening appreciated by the club.

Mrs Nancy McKay expressed their thanks to Mr Cameron for his excellent preparation of the quiz and his donation of sweets.

Thanks were also given to the ladies retiring from the committee, and also to the ladies of the South Church for the coffee and pancakes at the meetings.

The ladies will meet on Monday, June 11, at 10am at Fraserburgh bus station for their annual outing.
