SUCCESS: Hannah Cruickshank with her award from the Burnett School of Dance.

A local girl has achieved a pass from the Burnett School of Dance, Fraserburgh, turning the pupil in a trainee teacher of dance.

At 16-years-old, Hannah Cruickshank, a pupil of the Burnett School of Dance, would have been delighted to discover that she successfully passed her Student Teacher exam for Highland Dancing, allowing her to take on a role as a trainee teacher of dance.

Hannah has been a pupil of the school in Fraserburgh since she was 3, progressing through her exams and enjoying successes at competitions throughout Scotland over the years.

In a statement released by her teachers, they said:

“Hannah has worked very hard to study for this exam and we are all delighted that she has achieved this.

“It is lovely to see pupils progress from the ‘baby’ class right through to being one of our oldest dancers, being able to help with the younger children in preparation for her student teacher exam.

“This work will now continue and develop as Hannah moves forward to completing her full teachers exam in the future.”

Classes for the Burnett School of Dance are held in Fraserburgh for all ages and abilities.
