Rotary’s Seats around town

Last summer, the Rotary Club of Fraserburgh agreed to develop a project locally and raise funds for it.
What was agreed upon was a series of bench seats commencing on a circuit around Fraserburgh and then heading off down the Buchan-Formantine Way.
The aim is to help promote physical and mental activity by allowing walkers to stop off every so often for a seat and a rest (or maybe just a blether) before moving on or back allowing people to gradually increase their capacity.
It was also felt this project was something that could be built on as funds are raised and could be something beneficial to the Broch.
The club was delighted to raise a good sum at its annual golf tournament last September and these funds have now been used to purchase the first 3 bench seats for the project which are now in place at Boothby Road. The seats themselves are made of recycled plastic and are water resistant which makes them very hard to damage.
The club was delighted and very grateful to have had the assistance of Aberdeenshire Council in installing the seats at Boothby Road.
