Fraserburgh Sea Cadets are to undertake a sponsored rowing challenge to raise funds to enable the unit continue to develop the activities on offer.
To-date the Fraserburgh unit offers a wide range of activities including sailing, rowing, powerboating, cook/steward, chartwork, piping, shooting and AT.
It also offers a wide range of other activites across the country from sailing on our flagship TS Royalist a 30m Square Rigger and trips to Royal Navy bases and Army camps from MOD Caledonia at Rosyth to HMS Raleigh at the south of England to do additional week and weekend activities on rock climbing, diving, mountain biking, flying and marine engineering.
There are also an increasing number of international exchanges and opportunites to join in with the Duke of Edinburgh Award, BTEC schemes and yacht sailing round the UK.
All cadets will be rowing between Sandhaven and Fraserburgh tonight (Thursday), from 6pm (weather dependent).
Spectators are welcome and should any individual or a company like to join in the row there are places available for sponsorship.
