Rising comedy star to make Lemon Tree debut

Award-winning musical comedy and stand-up Vikki Stone is to make her Aberdeen debut at the city’s Lemon Tree Studio this autumn.

And tickets for her October 7 gig go on sale this Friday (April 27) online at www.boxofficeaberdeen.com, by phone at 01224 641122 and at Aberdeen Box Office at the Music Hall and His Majesty’s Theatre.

With appearances on This Morning (ITV1) MTV’s Flashprank and Britain in Bed (BBC3) under her belt, she was named by the press as one of the Top 5 Edinburgh Acts and the Top 10 to Watch at Edinburgh Festival.

Her Lemon Tree appearance is part of her first national tour.

Trained as a classical musician, Vikki toured with Elton John as backing vocalist at venues including The Royal Albert Hall, National Exhibition Centre, and Wembley Arena after graduating from The Royal Academy of Music.

She also had acting roles before deciding to give comedy a go at some open mic nights, and nine gigs later was spotted by NBC’s Last Comic Standing, made it to the last 20 comics selected in Britain and was filmed by NBC at The Comedy Store, in London.
