Banff and Buchan MP Dr Eilidh Whiteford has congratulated the proprietor of a Fraserburgh bar on its recent awards success.

Dr Whiteford visited Cheers Cafe Bar and Tavern recently and met with proprietor Dennis Forsyth to congratulate him on the establishment securing a string of awards over the last two years.

During the visit, Dennis Forsyth spoke with the Member of Parliament about Cheers’ recent upgrades to its outside area, awards success, training programme and upcoming development plans.

Dr Whiteford also went on a tour of the establishment, including their recently-built dining space.

Commenting, Eilidh Whiteford said: “It was an absolute pleasure to visit Cheers, and to see for myself the good work that Dennis and his staff are undertaking on the site.

“The astonishing number of awards and nominations Cheers has received from national bodies indicates the quality of the service being offered, and the business is a credit to Fraserburgh and the surrounding area.

“I look forward to congratulating Dennis on further awards in future.”
