Police are appealing for information following the theft of a bike from Fraserburgh.

Officers in Fraserburgh are investigating the theft of a children's bike from the St Andrews Drive area of Fraserburgh on Friday morning.

The unusual gold-coloured 'Mafia Kush 2' BMX bike was stolen from outside an address in St Andrews Drive, Fraserburgh between 8am and 9am on Friday, September 30. The bike is valued at a low three-figure sum.

Investigating officer PC Wayne Bedford said: "This bike belongs to a local boy who has been left upset by the fact that his bike has been stolen.

"We believe that it's quite an unusual bike due to the make and colour. If anyone has seen the gold BMX bike or knows of its whereabouts then I would ask then to call police on 101 or the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if they wish to remain anonymous.

"I would also remind the public to keep their property secure at all times using either bike locks and / or to lock away and store bikes in sheds or garages where possible."
