Police in Fraserburgh are investigating a theft from a secure boat within Sandhaven harbour which occurred over the weekend.
The incident is thought to have occurred between 11.00pm on Friday, August 19 and 1am on Saturday, August 20, and resulted in fishing equipment valued at a mid three-figure sum being stolen.
Constable Michael Summers, who is leading the investigation, said: "I would like to remind members of the public to remain vigilant and to report anything untoward or suspicious that they hear or see.
"If anyone has any information about this incident I would ask them to get in touch."
