Award for Broch boy who raised money in memory of granny

A Fraserburgh boy who raised £2,500 for Ovarian cancer in memory of his granny was given an award to commend his act.

Scott Murison, was presented with a Go MAD (Make A Difference) award after he undertook a 50km cycle last year in aid of the cancer charity.

A member of the 5th Fraserburgh’s Boys’ Brigade Scott was given the award by the Battalion President Michael Strachan.

Mr Strachan said: “I was privileged to present the certificate and to congratulate Scott on this magnificent and inspiring achievement.”

Scott cycled the Buchan and Formartine line in memory of his granny who died aged 46 and who Scott never had a chance to meet before she passed away.
