Fraserburgh and District Horticultural Society’s annual flower and product show took place at the Dalrymple Hall and Arts Centre last Saturday.
Sir Lewis and Lady Heather Ritchie opened the show, with Sir Lewis declaring himself proud of Fraserburgh and “this magnificent show”.
He added that he did not doubt “the hard work and commitment that went into it”.
Lady Ritchie, who presented the prizes at the show, was later awarded a bouquet by four-year-old gardener Jessica Mulligan.
The judges were said to be very impressed by the high standard of the entries overall, considering the difficult conditions brought about by poor weather conditions in the summer.
Sadly, like all other shows, entry numbers were slightly down from last year.
The support and dedication of all exhibitors and the appreciation of the public, however, made for another successful flower and product show for the Broch.
Cut flowers, homebakes and knitted goods were among the products on display at this year’s show.
