Aberdeen Box Ofice re-opened yesterday after a four-day closure whilst new booking systems were installed.
Aberdeen Performing Arts (APA) switched to AudienceView, one of the market leaders in this field with around 150 clients in 12 countries around the world, selling more than 60 million tickets every year.
Customers will now be able to access the new system in the usual way at www.boxofficeaberdeen.com, by phone at 01224 641122 and at the Music Hall and His Majesty’s Theatre ticket desks.
Ahead of the closure, Mr Gray said: “APA has invested in a brand-new ticketing solution to streamline ticket sales and improve the customer experience when buying tickets – both online and in person at Aberdeen Box Office. After careful consideration, we have selected AudienceView, as it is one of the market leaders in this field with around 150 clients in 12 countries around the world, selling more than 60 million tickets every year.”
He added: “The innovative system will have a host of exciting new features. For example customers will be able to preview their view of the stage from photographs taken from seats in the auditorium.”
