A Fraserburgh bank has raised hundreds of pounds for charity.
Thanks to the efforts of staff and customers at the Fraserburgh branch of Bank of Scotland, a total of £682 was raised for charity. The money has been split equally between Alzheimer Scotland, which is the bank’s charity of the year, and Fraserburgh RNLI, who have received £341 each.
The fundraising day, on March 25, took place on the same day as the relaunch of Bank of Scotland’s Fraserburgh branch.
Bank Manager Diane Smith presented a cheque to Karen Jappy from Alzheimer Scotland and Victor Sutherland of Fraserburgh RNLI. Victor has said the funds will go towards a new navigation system for the lifeboat.
Commenting, Diane Smith said: “I was delighted with the support we got from staff and customers, and I’m delighted with how much we were able to present to both charities.”
