Janet Arnott, who runs the nursery alongside Lynne Noble, said: “It’s a lot of money to raise for a little nursery like ours.”

Peek-A-Boo nursery will change hands on July 1 this year after 20 years.

Janet said: “I would like to say a thank you to all their parents for their time supporting the nursery, not just for the fundraising but over the years.”

Lynne and Janet also thanked their “wonderful staff” and gave their best wishes to the children moving on to school.
