Fraserburgh Academy pupils have outdone themselves in this year’s exams.

Pupils in S4, S5 and S6 received their exam results last week after weeks of anxious waiting.

And it was good news for the majority of students, with several pupils hitting straight ‘A’ grades at Higher level.

Speaking to the Fraserburgh Herald last week, headteacher John Noble spoke of the overall improvement made by this year’s group of students.

He said: “We are particularly pleased with the number of pupils who managed to achieve five As in one sitting. The high level of attainment achieved by the pupils is very encouraging.”

The school has seen a number of improvements and increases on pupils achieving in their exams.

The number of students who have gained Advanced Highers has increased as well as those who have managed to achieve five Highers which has significantly improved.

The number of pupils who have managed to achieve three Highers in one sitting has remained the same with a slight increase on the number of pupils obtaining one Higher.

Results for the S4, S5 and S6 will now leave the pupils with some difficult decisions to make in the near future.
