Fraserburgh Football club have raised £1820 for UCAN by posing for a calendar in their birthday suits - with only strategically placed footballs to cover their modesty.

The calendar was organised and sponsored by Debbie Cooper, owner of Hush Hair & Beauty Retreat, High Street, Fraserburgh, and mother of Courtney, on of the first team players.

Local professional photographer Andrea Wiseman kindly donated her skills in shooting the lads as they stripped bare for the calendar which sold out almost as soon as it went on sale.

The money raised was donated to Urological CANcer Charity (UCAN) after Broch captain Russell McBride was diagnosed with testicular cancer a few years ago, who received tremendous support from the clinical nurse specialist team at the UCAN Cancer Care Centre, based at Ward 44 at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Since then, the father of two has made a great recovery and is back playing for the team.

Speaking on behalf of UCAN, fundraising manager Fiona JD Pearson thanked everyone involved with the calendar, as well as Gordon, Debbie’s husband, who had nominated the charity to his welfare committee on the Scott Offshore Platform, who had donated £250 to the cause.
