A supermarket in Fraserburgh is holding a talent competition to raise money for good causes.

Tesco in Fraserburgh are organising the event, ‘Tesco’s Got Talent’, which is taking place on Saturday, April 27 at 6.30pm.

Monies raised will be donated to Cancer Research UK and Diabetes UK as well as the Fraserburgh Junior Arts Society, who are supporting the event.

Organisers are still looking to attract singers, dancers, performers of family comedy and magicians to perform.

Tesco staff and members of the public can enter to perform at the event simply by picking up an entry form from Customer Services at Tesco in Fraserburgh. The cost is £10 to enter, and those taking part can come along to the dress rehearsal the night before the show. A money prize is on offer for the winning act.

The show is open to the public, having been a sell-out in the previous two years. Tickets to watch the show are also on sale at Customer Services in Tesco. Balcony tickets cost £8 and tickets for the stalls are £6.

Martin Wisely, who is a General Assistant at Tesco and chair of Tesco’s social charity committee, commented: “We’re really looking forward to the event. It’s now in its third year.

“We’re hoping to bring the community together and raise money for worthwhile causes.”
