Three Broch explorers are about to embark on a challenge to raise money for charity.
The three friends Gordon Cowie, Gordon McRobbie and Mark Spikes will go on a seven day walk and cycle run for Macmillan Cancer Support and Aberdeen sick kids hospital.
After surviving last years challenge the men have agreed to go upon another small adventure with a total distance of 185 miles.
They will set off from Fort William next weekend, and their aim is to complete the great glen way to Inverness before climbing on bikes and cycling back to Heath Hill in Memsie.
The walking element of the challenge the men have said should take them five days and the cycle run home should be done in two.
Gordon Cowie explained his motivation behind the challenge.
He said: “I am doing this to raise money for a local cancer charity and Aberdeen sick kids hospital, knowing hat many local people will benefit through the necessary treatment treatment provided by these organisations.”
