A Fraserburgh woman has won a special prize as part of a raffle to raise funds for the Lifeboat in Fraserburgh.

Broch resident Mary Dixon won a rocking motorcycle which was made and then donated by Andrew Harper from Inverallochy.

No fewer than 400 raffle books were sold to raise funds for the Fraserburgh Lifeboat. The raffle tickets were sold in the Broch, Mintlaw and a number of other locations.

In total, the fantastic sum of £2,108.15 was raised for the Lifeboat.

The winning ticket was drawn by Andrew at the end of Fraserburgh Lifeboat’s fun run on October 27, and Mary picked up her special prize last week.

Commenting, Ethel Yeats of Fraserburgh Lifeboat said: “A special thank you to Gina, Pamela and Kate for helping to sell the tickets.

“Congratulations to Mary for winning the motorcycle.”
