Accountancy firm Johnston Carmichael which has an office in Fraserburgh is celebrating after being named in this year’s Sunday Times Best Companies list.

The firm made its debut on the prestigious list, placed as the 92nd best place to work in the UK amongst companies with between 250 and 5,000 employees.

Johnston Carmichael, Scotland’s largest independent firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers, and is one of the Top 25 accounting firms in the UK.

Founded in 1936, it now employs 45 partners and over 400 staff in 10 offices across Scotland.

The firm scored especially well on certain key criteria including, Wellbeing (ranked 23rd place), Personal Growth (60th place) and My Manager (74th place).

Each year Best Companies and The Sunday Times celebrate the best small, mid-size and big workplaces in the UK. Employees from participating organisations are surveyed based on a rigorous methodology. This enables Best Companies to compile lists of the 100 top companies in each size category.

Every year the prestige of this list builds, making this the competition that every people-oriented organisation wants to be involved in.
