A Fraserburgh man has received a Queen’s Award for Enterprise for his oil and gas sector company at this year’s awards.

Dave Sim and his company Online Valves Ltd have been recognised as winners of the 2016 Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade; the UK’s highest accolade for business success.

The award is in recognition of achieving substantial growth in international exports year on year.

Dave Sim, Director of Online Valves Ltd, said: “Receiving the Queen’s Award is a great honor that will undoubtedly raise our profile and open many new doors for us.

To upturn the trends and receive this award in this current slump in the Oil & Gas markets is an incredible achievement, made possible by the excellent work and dedication from our entire staff.”

Online Valve Ltd started in 2012 and now employs 9 people; with new larger headquarters based in Aberdeen supported by branches in Houston, Trinidad and Dubai.
