Rosehearty Playgroup said goodbye to long-serving playgroup manager Beryl Field this week.

The mum of two is retiring from her position after 11 years with the playgroup.

Arriving in August 2001, Beryl has overseen some major changes at the playgroup, in particular the move to Rosehearty Primary
School, where the playgroup is now
based.

Attending a special retirement party at the playgroup, Beryl was presented with flowers and other gifts ahead of her departure, before gathering the children and staff around for a photograph to commemorate the day.

After 11 years in the job, we asked Beryl what it was like to be leaving the playgroup.

She said: “It was obviously a big thing when we moved into the school, and being made
manager.

“It’s been a really hard decision to make to leave the playgroup.

“I’ll miss all the staff, children and parents.”

As Rosehearty Playgroup begins the search for a replacement for Beryl, the Fraserburgh Herald is inviting you to give us your memories of Rosehearty Playgroup.
