Camera Club

Our annual friendly slide competition with Peterhead Club was held on Thursday April 21 but our JIC venue in Albert Street proved a little elusive for the four members of the Blue Toon.

The gentleman and three ladies arrived just before we were about to start.

Our judge was Frank Slowey of Moray Club accompanied by his good lady.

In his introduction he gave the usual dissertation that it was his personal interpretation of the images and might well be not as other judges.

He was keen on the technical merit and this was reflected in his marking. With a wide range of subjects in both digital and film it took the whole evening with a very attentive audience before the result was announced.

The total for each club was not too far apart but Peterhead (now with a large membership) took the honour and was heartily congratulated. Since judges were now so difficult to access our president’s thanks to Frank was particularly sincere. Fraserburgh members and invited friends are reminded that Thursday, May 12 is the date of the annual dinner and presentation. Zoom In
