St Combs Football Club has put a call out to former players, supporters and sponsors for pictures and historical information to help the club celebrate 40 years established in its current format.
A number of events are planned to celebrate the anniversary year with the centrepiece being the Sportsman’s Dinner due to be held on September 24 at the Tufted Duck Hotel.
Commenting on the anniversary year and call for information, a spokesman said: “The club continues to seek information regarding the history of the team including team photographs, strips and stories.
“There were, of course, teams representing St Combs prior to 1971, including the St Combs Colts and we have included selected early photographs in the Quitie Teams section on our website.
“We would be delighted to hear from anyone with historical information or pictures from the past related to St Combs football that could also be incorporated online.
“Our Sportsman’s Dinner is open to all players, supporters and sponsors, past and present. Places are limited and will be available on a first come first served basis.
“A fantastic night is planned, with guest speakers, an auction and a three-course meal.”
