A leading children’s charity held an open day in Fraserburgh recently.
Children 1st, which is based on the town’s Frithside Street, hosted the event to promote the range of services provided by the organisation.
A number of potential referrers and interested parties were represented at the open day, including nurseries, social work, the Family Centre and NHS.
Children 1st offers a range of services and projects in the Fraserburgh area and wider North-east. These include Surestart, Violence Against Women, Family Solutions-Lloyds PDI, Transitions, Mediation in Education, Give Kids a Chance and Community Engagement programmes. Most of these programmes accept self-referrals as well as referrals through services.
Commenting, Service Manager Fiona Allan said: “Children 1st are a well-established organisation in the community. We have many years of experience working with local children and families.
“Part of today is to let people know that we are continuing to expand and enhance our range of services.”
Anne MacLeod, who is a Community Engagement Coordinator at Children 1st, added: “We are pleased with the turnout and to see so much support for Children 1st from the community.”
