Fraserburgh and district councillor Ian Tait has voiced his disappointment that Fraserburgh’s tennis courts are not yet ready to be used.

It had been hoped that the finished works to the tennis courts, opposite James Ramsay Park, would have been completed last week.

“I am very disappointed that the finish works to the tennis courts have not been done yet and I have contacted the council officers about it,” Councillor Tait told us.

“The officer has stressed to the contractor the need to get this completed as soon as possible to enable the courts to be fully utilised over the next few months.

“They really could not have got better weather than this time just now to do the finishing works and it is very disappointing that they have not done so.

“The courts should be playable to make full use of them over the summer months and I have stressed this to officials, and they fully agree,” he adds.

Councillor Tait has told us that he will contact the Fraserburgh Herald again when he learns when the courts will be useable.
