Assault and vandalism in Fraserburgh areas

Police Scotland is appealing for witnesses after a 41-year-old man was assaulted between 4pm and 5pm on Saturday at College Bounds, Fraserburgh.

As a result of the incident the man was admitted to hospital with a head injury.

PC Kate Russell, from the Fraserburgh Local Policing Team, said: “This is a busy commuting road through Fraserburgh and it is believed several persons may have been in the area at the time of this incident.

“I urge any person with information to get in touch with us.’’

Meanwhile, police are also investigating damage caused to several vehicles in Fraserburgh.

The incident occurred between 6pm and 8.30pm on Friday on the town’s Cross Street.

As a result of the incident, a mid three-figure sum of damage was caused.

Police are keen to trace any person who would have been seen acting suspiciously in the area at this time.
