Pupil charged after knife brought to primary school in Fraserburgh area

A pupil has been charged after an incident at a primary school in the Fraserburgh area where a knife was allegedly brought onto the property..

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Following an incident at [Primary School cannot be named for legal reasons] on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, Police Scotland can confirm that a pupil has been charged.”

The police were reportedly alerted to the situation after the parents of another child at the school contacted them.

A spokesperson for Aberdeenshire Council said: “The safety of pupils and staff in our schools is of utmost importance.

We take this incident seriously and are working with the Police to ascertain the circumstances surrounding it.”
