A 37-year-old man has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal following a series of thefts from vehicles in Fraserburgh on Friday May 13.

Police officers are appealing for witnesses to the incidents which occurred in the Witchill Road, Queens Road and West Road areas of the town.

A number of personal items were taken valued at a mid three-figure sum of money and enquiries are ongoing in respect of property recovered during the course of the investigation.

Constable Michael Summers, who is leading the investigation, has reminded members of the public to ensure their vehicles are locked overnight, or when not in use.

He said: “I would urge people to ensure any valuable items are removed from their vehicles and make sure they park in a garage if possible of well-lit area.
