Dance-a-thon aids Macmillan

On Saturday April 23, Stephen Summers of 6.1.0 Dance Academy is going to host a Sponsored Dance-A-Thon on behalf of the local Fraserburgh Committee of We are Macmillan Cancer Support.

The Dance-A-Thon will take place in the Leisure Centre, Fraserburgh from 10am. until 4pm. when Stephen and his assistants will be putting different age groups through their paces.

Later in the day from 4pm until 4.30pm the participants will be putting on a show for family, friends and interested spectators to showcase what they have learned.

The age limit for dancers will be from Primary 6 / 9-10 years old upwards.

Dancers will register and pay an entry fee of £5 at the door on the day and the audience for the Showtime will also be able to give donations to the charity.

A representative from the Fraserburgh Committee told the Herald: “The local MCS Committee is delighted to have the support and enthusiasm of the very talented Stephen Summers and his helpers for this new fundraising venture, everyone is looking forward to the event.

“The committee is also delighted to have secured sponsorship for water for the dancers from Dennis Gordon Electrical, the well-established family business situated in Fraserburgh’s High Street.”
