Banff and Buchan College held an open morning on Saturday, April 21, in their newly refurbished main Campus at Henderson Road, Fraserburgh.
More than 200 visitors came along to get information on courses starting August 2012, receive advice on funding support and to take guided tours of the modern, environmentally friendly building.
The feedback from the event was very positive, with visitors expressing enthusiasm and admiration for the redeveloped College.
In particular, they commented on the social space now available for students and the efforts to make it a ‘home-from-home’.
Linda Hope, External Affairs Manager, said: “This event was held in the refurbishment College to allow those living in the College catchment area to see the changes that have been made. The additional space available will allow us to engage further with the wider community and local businesses and would encourage anyone interested in touring the College or accessing the space to get in touch.”
The main features of the new building are a more accessible entrance and a large central atrium that houses the new reception, library, social areas and flexible workspaces for students and staff, while the exterior has been completely modernised.
