A Creative Edge event featuring artworks by local secondary school pupils took place at the Dalryple Hall in Fraserbugh recently.
Pupils from Fraserburgh, Banff and Turriff Academies showcased cutting edge artistic projects at the exhibition.
The Broch’s exhibit featured four famous pictures which had been “Brochified”, one of which was a live representation of the “Raft of the Medusa” in viva tablant format, with some of the audience appearing as the shipwrecked sailors.
The Chair of Aberdeenshire Council’s Education, Learning and Leisure Committee, Councillor Isobel Davidson, introduced the event.
Also present were Councillors Charles Buchan and Anne Allan, the Council’s Chief Executive Colin McKenzie, Rector of Fraserburgh Academy Mr David Clark, Mr Gordon West of Peterhead Academy, teachers, officers and parents.
Commenting, Fraserburgh councillor Charles Buchan said: “The event went very, very well. The Dalrymple Hall was full with pupils, parents, council officials and teachers.
“The pupils were putting on examples of their work and it was really quite inspiring.
“The Fraserburgh presentation really was the best,” he added.
