A Fraserburgh Academy student has achieved every school leavers dream by scoring five A’s in his Higher exams.

David Watt received the Highers results on August 9 after putting in a lot of work to get the grades he wanted.

David said: “I was hoping for them but I wasn’t really sure what I would end up with.

“I put in the work for it and it was good to see.”

Since receiving his 5 A’s David has decided to forgo university this year and stay on at Fraserburgh Academy for another year.

He said: “I’ll stay on for 6th year and we’ll take it from there.”

The A student has not decided on a career path yet and will wait to see what opportunities there are at the end of 6th year before choosing what he wants to do next.

David said: “I’ll see what’s open and what options are available to me.

“I’m pretty open to what’s available.”

From the thousands of students that sat their higher exams this year, David is one of only 98 that received 5 A’s at higher level as senior results throughout the Shire show a continued improvement from 2015.
