Sponsored plough benefits playgroup

Crimond Playgroup and Toddlers received a cheque for £659.72 recently, local farmer Graham Cowie completing a sponsored plough to raise the funds.

Mr Cowie, himself a former member of the Crimond playgroup, completed the 24 hour plough to raise funds for the playgroup to develop an outdoor play area.

There was a competition running alongside the plough to guess how much acres of land Mr Cowie would plough within the 24 hours, which was won by Mary McHardy. The prize, a toy tractor, was donated by AM Phillip, Fraserburgh.

In total, Mr Cowie ploughed 76.5 acres of land.

Crimond Playgroup and Toddlers also, recently, completed a fun day, in which a further £786.05 was raised.
