Farmers’ dance raises hundreds for charity

The Fraserburgh and District Farmers have held their 63rd Annual Dinner and Dance.

The dance took place at the Bancar Hotel, Lonmay, on Saturday, March 2. Organisers said the event, which included a meal and music from ‘Shindig’, was well supported.

For many years, local businesses and agricultural companies have donated gifts for a lucky draw at the dance. The committee are grateful for the generosity of these businesses and asked if everyone would show their appreciation with donations for a worthwhile cause. The MacMillian Nurses will receive £516.60 as a result.

The ‘Broch Farmers’ would like to thank the following companies for their continued support: HRN Tractors, Scotgrain, Wallace of Kelso, Ravenhill, Brucklay Garage, United Auctions, Bruce Farm Machinery, Davidsons Animal Feeds, Agri, Cairness Ltd, Jim’s Hairdresser, Davie Forsyth Smiddy, Balgownie Tractors, Meadows Vets, Alistair and Shona McLeod, Farmley, J Duncan Contractors, Lovie Construction, William Whyte Cargo Handlers, Buchan Vets, Gorden Innes, AM Phillips, ST Tyres, GSD Fabrication, William Whyte Cranes, Cheers Café Bar and Tavern, Heathhill Hotel, SBP Accountants, M & M Bell, Phillip Stewart Photography, Netherton Farm Shop, ACT Scotland, Towns & Carnie, A & N Marts and Axis.
